Blow Mold Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking Blow Mold Process Tech for our client in Ripley, MS. This position will need to stand, bend, squat, kneel, crawl & reach. This position requires consistent use of arm(s), wrist, elbow with repeated squeezing and grasping. Will be required to lift up to 40 pounds.

Shifts:
2nd Shift Monday-Friday 3pm-11:30pm

Responsibilities

• Set up machines/equipment for operation, including material, color, molds, auxiliary equipment, etc.
• Keep supervisor/management informed of all problems
• Start-up machines and monitor quality to maintain appropriate sizes and standards
• Make appropriate adjustments to machines to maintain efficient production levels and document appropriately
• Oversee proper packaging procedures
• Review production schedules and ensure machines are running production to meet customer demands
• Respond to alarms and/or requests for assistance to correct machine malfunctions and/or Packer/Handler problems
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Maintenance Departments concerning machine operations and malfunctions
• Inspect scrap to prevent any usable product from being ground and record scrap numbers
• Ensure housekeeping standards and all safety procedure are maintained
• Ensure a smooth transition between shifts

Qualifications, Skills, Competencies:

• Prior blow molding experience is a plus
• Mechanical aptitude and literacy with equipment control panels for complex machines
• Ability to analyze product and mechanically understand equipment to get desired output
• Forklift Certification
