Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Forester to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of forest management practices and be skilled in negotiating and managing contracts related to forestry operations. This role involves overseeing the sustainable use of forest resources, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to promote effective land management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement forest management plans that align with sustainability goals.

  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers to ensure optimal resource procurement.

  • Manage materials and logistics related to forestry operations, ensuring timely delivery and utilization of resources.

  • Oversee production planning processes to maximize efficiency in forestry activities.

  • Utilize Oracle EBS systems for tracking inventory, procurement, and project management.

  • Collaborate with environmental agencies and local communities to promote responsible land use practices.

  • Conduct regular inspections of forested areas to assess health, growth, and compliance with management plans.

  • Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices in forestry and resource management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in forest management or a similar role is preferred.

  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage contracts effectively.

  • Knowledge of materials management and logistics within the forestry sector.

  • Familiarity with production planning processes is advantageous.

  • Proficiency in Oracle EBS or similar systems for managing forestry operations is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various outdoor environments.
